  •   I have been bringing my BMWs (first a 325i convertible and then a M Roadster) to Autowerkes since the President of the last company I worked at recommended them back in 1995- and most recently last week.  I have found them to be thoroughly knowledgeable of the cars and able to fix the issues without having to bring the car back- the repair is done correctly the first time, and I am always kept in the loop for what the issues are, anticipated expenses, and when the car will be ready for pick up.  Their are many unscrupulous repair shops out there,  I am glad to have found a place that I can implicitly trust.  I highly recommend Bruce, Johnny, and the rest of the Autowerkes staff. Thanks, Cliff R.

  •   I had oil change done by Autowerkes. It wasn't exorbitantly priced. They also picked up, dropped off and washed my car.

  •   If you are a car person, and chances are if you drive a Porsche you are a car person, then your mechanic is more important than your physician. Bruce and his crew are the most professional mechanics I have come across ever. Others talk about attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, these guy walk it, live it and deliver it. From complicated repairs to simple maintenance Autowerkes is professional and top notch all the way. And their prices are normal! I have had both types of service performed on my vintage Porsche and she is purring like a kitty and driving like a dream. Thanks Bruce!

  •   I had my oil change done personally, and needed help to reset my computer. These guys wouldn't take my money, and that's what earns repeat business!

  •   I've owned four BMWs over the last ten years (everything from an old 535i with over 200k miles that needed lots of work to my current M5), and I've been to a few dealers (Crevier, Sterling and Beverly Hills).  While Autowerkes does not look nearly as fancy as the dealers, the quality of the work and price far exceed any of my dealership experiences.  The core group - Bruce (owner), Phil (head mechanic), and Johnny (service writer) have been there for as long as I've gone there.  They take the time to explain to you what repairs need to be done, how urgent the repairs are, and what the costs are.  In my 10 years going there, I've never felt like I was gouged or lied to- who knew there were any honest mechanics left?

Other pluses- free pick up and delivery, free rides to/from home or office, and free hand car washes.  Very convenient.

  •   Found Autowerkes through Yelp after reading some great reviews. I took my 2012 911S in for service and cooling repair. Can't say enough about how those reviews were true. Bruce took good care of my cancer and the quality of work was fantastic.

  •   I have been a client of Bruce's since 2004.  He has taken care of my Boxster and C4S.  I'm extremely satisfied every time I take my car in and even when I call to ask for opinion about car items.  Autowerkes is the best.  Thank you, Bruce, Johnny, Phil, Sean, Chano and all of you guys!

  •   Very nice customer service for the car owners. But for the car.... :-(
I had the four brakes changed at around $2300. After the work was done, I drove the car for two months and noticed noises when braking.  I brought it back for checking. I was told to leave it there for a day to check.  A whole day just to test drive on a brake pads?????  Later that day, I came back and was told that they didn't find anything wrong with it and sent me home with the same problem unsolved.  So I was stuck with this noise.  Whenever I was at the traffic intersection, I felt embarrassed to see drivers around looking at me in my Porsche.... thinking I didn't have the $ to fix my brakes.

I had my oil changed there. After a 6 months or so, the oil levels went down significantly.  I was worrying that the oil might have leaked some where.  I took it to the shop to check.  They had the engine on for a WHOLE hour and then said nothing was wrong.  So where did the oil go??????  They sent me home again with the same problem unsolved.  I took the car to another shop and was told my car was not like those regular cars. It burned oil.

The shop might have done great jobs to many other Porsche owners, but somehow, my car
did not received that same care.  I live nearby, but reluctantly I have to bring my car to another shop.
