Rick and his crew just fixed up our 2001 mercedes c-240. Car had stalled on the freeway, and as I am new to the area I wasn't sure where to take it.
I took it to a place nearby who recommended Autowerkes, and I am glad they did. They diagnosed a crank sensor issue, took care of it right away, and let us keep it there over night when we couldn't pick it up. That they did a good job and were much less expensive than the dealership is only half the story. The guys there take time to explain the problem, don't treat you like an idiot, and are transparent about the costs. They know cars, and they are honest. What else do you want?
They earned my business, that is for sure.
Johnny, Bruce and Phil; Autowerks, What can I say they are AMAZING! They are priced fairly, they know their cars, they are quick, reliable, beyond helpful, very knowledgeable, they are SPECTACULAR! I have used 98% of mechanics in Huntington Beach for over 20 years and I have never found anyone who I trusted bringing my car to and knowing it would come out getting fixed properly! I recommend them! The only down fall is I wish they worked on my other cars that are not Mercedes, BMW, or Porsche!
AutoWerkes is a top notch repair shop that specializes in German vehicles.
This shop has really knowledgeable techs with a lot of experience. They only use high quality parts and stand by the work they do. Saying that, let me point out they are not the cheapest out there, but they do the best work, and it's worth it.
I usually deal with Bruce in the office. He is one of the owners and really knows his stuff. He can identify your issue and use his computer database to give you an accurate estimate for the repair.
Bottom Line: You have a nice car, take it to a good shop. Autowerkes will fix it right :-)
I have been bringing my BMWs (first a 325i convertible and then a M Roadster) to Autowerkes since the President of the last company I worked at recommended them back in 1995- and most recently last week. I have found them to be thoroughly knowledgeable of the cars and able to fix the issues without having to bring the car back- the repair is done correctly the first time, and I am always kept in the loop for what the issues are, anticipated expenses, and when the car will be ready for pick up. Their are many unscrupulous repair shops out there, I am glad to have found a place that I can implicitly trust. I highly recommend Bruce, Johnny, and the rest of the Autowerkes staff. Thanks, Cliff R.
My 987 started smoking. My water pump went out and the car was fuming. I towed it to Bruce, he did a full inspection, tested to make sure I didn't damage anything else, then he found out that I had warranty that would cover it. So I had to towed to the dealer. The bill would have ran me an easy $900. I asked him how much I owed him for the tests and inspection, he told me to be safe and shook my hand and that ended it right there.
Came by the shop couple of months ago with questions on purchasing a 2007-2009 Porsche. Bruce gave me some ideas and what to look for. I looked at several 2007-2009 Carreras and with Bruces info I purchased one in Newport Beach. Took it to Bruce today who checked it over, we went for an exciting test drive, with the final analysis that it was an extremely well taken care of 2009. Here is where I will go in the future - Thanks, Bruce
